In case you haven't heard the news, All Girl Everything Ultimate Program
(AGE UP) is in the running for $5,000 in an online voting competition
that ends this Friday at noon. The Ultimate community has done an
incredible job rallying for this program but we need ONE MORE SURGE to
secure our spot as #1 in the field of 150 projects. <br>
<br>AGE UP is a South Seattle-based girls leadership program that uses
the positive influence of Ultimate to engage youth in long-term
intentional work developing critical awareness, leadership skills, and
positive identity. Please help them to run their free program for another year.<br>

Registration is now open for the first beach ultimate tournament to be held in the great state of Washington. The event will take place on July 21-22 in Ocean Shores, WA. There is room for 8-10 teams to play. Since beach games are shorter
than "land" ultimate games, we will use a one day format for the team
play on Saturday. On Sunday, we will mix up the rosters with a random
hat draw.<br>

Once again this summer, DiscNW is partnering with the Seattle Sports Commission to host the Subway Washington Games. There are one-day tournaments scheduled for youth and adult players. Players will play several games of ultimate, and the winners will receive cool medals as prizes. Additionally, there will be distance and accuracy competitions - with more medals for the winners of those competitions! Registration is now open.<br>

Green Bean Coffeehouse</b> - <a href="http://www.greenbeancoffee.org/" target="_blank">http://www.greenbeancoffee.org/</a><br>DiscNW has been selected as the Nonprofit of the Month by the Green Bean Coffeehouse in Greenwood. Early next week we will set up some information about our organization, and the generous folks at Green Bean will be donating a portion of their tips from July to us. <br>

The Australian National Open Team is in town and will be playing against Voodoo on Thursday (tonight!) and against Sockeye on Friday (tomorrow!) in Seattle.
<br><br><br><b>7. June and July PotMs</b><br>We are still putting the final touches on the pages for the June and July DiscNW Persons of the Month. We'll post a note on the DiscNW front page and on our Facebook timeline soon to celebrate some cool persons from the ultimate community.<br>
