<div>And here is the information on the two new events:</div>

<div>1. SINGLE GENDER HS LEAGUE NOW OPEN TO INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS. </div>
<div>Players without a team who would like to try out single-gender play will be assigned to consortium teams with other players from their schools, as possible. Players who did not participate in any 2008 DiscNW High School Spring League <b>(i.e., primarily freshmen and new players)</b> will be required to participate in this league if they intend to try out for the teams that will represent Seattle at the 2009 Ultimate Players Assocation (UPA) Youth Club Championship (YCC). First preference on the league consortium teams will be given to these players. Second preference will be given based on date of registration (first come, first served).</div>

<div>2. SPRING MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS' LEAGUE</div>
<div>This is an experimental league designed both to A) meet the needs of girls' schools that want to play youth ultimate, and B) promote girls' ultimate at the middle school level. Games will be on weekday afternoons/evenings at teams' home fields. The League Coordinator will work with team coaches to facilitate the scheduling of games.
