<div>Here is a message from tournament coordinator and UPA Oregon State Youth Coordinator Andrew Buermeyer: "[Due to field availability,] Cold Turkey in Corvallis will likely be Nov. 7/8, not either of the previously suggested dates. Some other details: cost will be $15 per player for a two-day event (we’ll drop to $10 for a one-day). Fields will be. . .on the OSU campus; amenities include field food (fruit, bagels, spread, water, sports drink) with dining hall access across the street and trainers on site. I’ll have the website up this week with maps, etc. For teams needing to stay overnight, let me know if you’re in need of help with lodging. We will have available some limited crash space with local players’ families. </div>

<div>"As an out-of-season tourney, the goal for Cold Turkey is for everyone to have some good games, get know other youth players from around the state and beyond (Hi WA!) and in general have good-spirited fun. I’m thinking of going with a 5:2 gender ratio to make it easier for teams that may not be practicing regularly in the fall to make it.</div>

<div>Riot is a women's elite club Ultimate team from Seattle. Here is a message from the captains of Riot: "We will be heading to Sarasota, FL, in 2 weeks to compete in the [North America] Club Ultimate Championships (Oct 29 - Nov 1). On Saturday, October 24th, Riot will be holding an open practice where all of our local fans can come watch us practice and scrimmage. The practice is from 9am - 12pm at Hamlin Fields (in Shoreline at 25th Ave NE and NE 160th St), and we'll be scrimmaging for the last hour. Please come, and send us off to Florida!" <div>Here's a message from Alyssa Weatherford, coordinator for the Fall Drizzle Middle School and High School tournament: "Hello all, I just thought I would up date everyone about this super fun tournament. We have 8 high school teams and 5 middle school teams!!! But we would like more! We have teams coming from Oregon and Oak Harbor! If you are interested at all please let me know and I will do anything I can to get you up [to Burlington]. Games will probably run from about 9-4ish with pool play games, and then everyone is reseeded and we have one final round of games. There will also be a prize for the winner of each division!</div>
<div>The tournament will be in Burlington and I will not know the tournament cost till October 15th when I will be not accepting any more bids, but it will be under $200 for sure. We will be selling lots of Chaos gear and we will have complementary tournament food for everyone.</div>

<div>Here's a message from Andrew Buermeyer, UPA State Youth Coordinator for Oregon: "Cold Turkey once again will be hosted in Corvallis this Fall on the OSU campus. This is a co-ed HS tournament, 1-2 days depending on the number of teams that come (should see 2 teams from Corvallis this year!). Last year we also had a middle school division, and are looking to gauge interest there as well. We’re are working to finalize dates and have two possible weekends: either Oct 31/Nov 1 (Halloween!) or Nov 14/15. If you have a team that is interested, please let me know the following: A) which date and whether a 1 or 2 day tourney is preferable, B) School, C) Team Name, D) Coach, E) Contact Email, and F) Contact Telephone. <div>Seattle is planning to host a Level I UPA Coaching Clinic in the late winter/early spring of 2010. We are in need of a Local Coordinator. The main duties of the Local Coordinator are to reserve a site for the class, advertise the class, help collect paperwork, communicate with participants, and manage snacks/lunch for the event. The compensation for serving as the Local Coordinator is free attendance at the clinic (not including UPA membership). This is a $75 value. <div>The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) hosts a World Championship in the Junior Division once every two years. The 2010 World Junior Ultimate Championships will be held in Heilbronn, Germany, from August 3rd - 7th. The Ultimate Players' Association is now accepting applications for the USA team.
