Delridge Planning Meeting

 

There is an important meeting on Monday, November 23 from 7:30-9pm at the
Delridge Community Center regarding the renovations to the playfield.
Remember the Seattle Parks for All Levy that passed last year?  Well, here
is that levy in action.  The fields are getting converted from a dirt to a
synthetic surface, and the field lights are getting replaced.  And, there
are plans for lines for ultimate fields!

 

We need your attendance at this meeting.  Please come out and let the Parks
Department know that you support the lines for ultimate fields.

Turkey Bowl, Dangle Wrangle, and Chick Flick

Registration is still open for Turkey Bowl which will be held at Marymoor
Park on Saturday, November 28.  This one-day hat tournament hosted by DiscNW
is a Thanksgiving tradition that gives Ultimate players the opportunity to
run off some of those second and third helpings of stuffing while giving
something to charity.  The registration fee is $25.  Players are encouraged
to bring canned foods which we donate to Northwest Harvest.

Sign up now for this men's hat tournament scheduled for Sunday, December 6
at Marymoor Park.  Warm beverages, soup, fruit and the mandatory bagels will
be available to all players as part of the $25 registration fee.  Keeping
with tradition, the mandatory spike rule is in effect for this event.

Finding fields for Chick Flick this year has proved to be incredibly
difficult.  We hope to finalize arrangements for this event any minute now.
We plan to have the event on Saturday, December 5.

 

 

Winter Team League, Hangover

Registration for Winter League is open.  Games will take place on Saturdays
starting January 2 and concluding on March 6.  Once again, we plan to
schedule all league games on synthetic fields.

 

Hangover - http://www.discnw.org/events/Hangover.html

The 2010 New Year's Hangover will take place on synthetic fields at Marymoor
Park on Saturday, January 2.  Registration for the tournament is now open.  

 

 

Spring Reign, 2010

U-20 National Team Applications

 

The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) hosts a World Championship in the
Junior Division once every two years. The 2010 World Junior Ultimate
Championships will be held in Heilbronn, Germany, from August 3rd - 7th. The
Ultimate Players' Association is now accepting applications for the USA
team. To learn about the player requirements and application process visit
the UPA website: http://www.upa.org/programs/intl/USJuniors.  Tryouts for
players on the west coast are tentatively scheduled to take place in
Washington in early March.
