DiscNW Annual Meeting is Next Week

The DiscNW Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, December 11th at the
Blue Star in Wallingford starting at 7pm. Refreshments will be provided for
all in attendance. We'll present a report on ultimate in the region, and
there will be plenty of time for socializing and schmoozing with DiscNW
staff and board members.

Chick Flick and Dangle Wrangle Are This Weekend

Registration is still open, and a few spots are still available for these
popular one-day hat tournaments. The weather forecast for both days calls
for mostly cloudy skies with a chance of rain and highs in the lower 50s.

There's still time to sign up for Winter Team League, but the deadline is
December 15, 2008. Games start in early January. Most games will be in the
morning in Shoreline on Saturdays. There will be a few games in Seattle and
Redmond, too. We might even schedule a few games on Wednesday evenings.

Youth Summit Results Are Online

Thanks to the 35 youth players, organizers, coaches, parents, and fans who
came out on Sunday, October 26 for the DiscNW Youth Summit. Over food; good
company; and lots of markers, sticky notes, and crayons; they brainstormed
and discussed a wide range of topics that will inform and prioritize the
strategic direction of short- and long-term youth Ultimate initiatives at
DiscNW.

For more information about the summit including details results please visit
the web site.

Please Be a Good Neighbor

Note to athletic field users, friends, and families: In 2008 we received at
least one warning per season regarding dogs and beer on the fields. If
further infractions occur we risk losing access to the fields.

Dogs are not allowed at organized athletic fields, beaches, or children's
play areas in Seattle, Shoreline, and Redmond parks. They are welcome on
leash everywhere else in the park system, and there are other off-leash
areas where they can romp without leashes. Please leave Fluffy at home on
game days.

Alcohol not allowed at organized athletic fields, beaches, or children's
play areas in Seattle, Shoreline, and Redmond parks. Drinking beer is
allowed at many fine taverns and restaurants across King County. Please
leave the alcohol at home on game days.

Thanks,

William Bartram

Executive Director, DiscNW
