Youth Director Open House

Please join us on *Tuesday, September 16* to celebrate youth ultimate, to
thank Wynne Scherf, and to welcome Jude LaRene.

DiscNW is hosting an open house at Sport Restaurant
<http://www.sportrestaurant.com/> (140 4th Ave, Seattle) from 4:30-6pm. All
members of the Northwest ultimate community are invited. This will be a
casual gathering to promote conversation and off-field connections.
Refreshments will be available for purchase at Sport.

After a happy and successful tenure with DiscNW, Wynne Scherf has stepped
down as the Director of Youth Operations.

Under Wynne’s leadership, youth ultimate programs have grown significantly
in the greater Seattle area. Wynne’s spirit has touched the lives of many
of us in the ultimate community. In large part to her efforts, the Seattle
scene is widely regarded as the youth ultimate archetype.

We at DiscNW have greatly appreciated Wynne’s service to the youth ultimate
community. We are grateful to have worked with her, and we wish Wynne all
the best.

Please join us in welcoming, Jude LaRene, the new DiscNW Youth Director!

Jude is a youth ultimate coach and long time ultimate player in Seattle.
His business experiences will help DiscNW to continue to provide high
quality playing opportunities for youth players at all levels. Jude brings
a passion for the sport and for the community, and we are proud to have him
join our team.

Jude started on the job last month, and he can be reached at

Fall Tournaments

 Registration is now open for these popular fall hat tournaments:

   - Turkey Bowl <http://www.discnw.org/events/TurkeyBowl.html> - Saturday,
   November 22nd
   - Chick Flick <http://www.discnw.org/events/ChickFlick.html> - Saturday,
   December 6th
   - Dangle Wrangle <http://www.discnw.org/events/DangleWrangle.html> -
   Saturday, December 6th


South Sound Fall Leagues

Information is now available for fall leagues in Tacoma and Olympia:

   - *Fall Olympia League <https://www.discnw.org/events/OlympiaFallHat/>*
   - This is the eighth annual fall hat league in Olympia. This league will be
   somewhat more competitive than the spring league in Olympia.

   - *Tacoma Fall Hat League <https://www.discnw.org/events/TacomaHat/>* -
   The Tacoma Fall League is a coed draft league.

   - *Tacoma Indoor League
   <https://www.discnw.org/events/FallTacomaIndoor/>* - Games are played on
   a large basketball court with small end zones, and the league is run in
   partnership with Tacoma Metro Parks District.
