1. 2012 TIMELINE

Here is the tentative DiscNW youth timeline for the spring of 2012.

*Please note that there may be some changes to this schedule, and we will
make every effort to report changes on this thread.*

December 16 (Friday)
Registration opens for all spring youth events:
--Seattle Coed Leagues (HS, MS, ES)
--Middle School Single-Gender League
--High School Boys’ Club League
--Tacoma High School League
--Green Games
--Spring Reign
--Spring Jam

January 22 (Sunday)
Earlybird Coed Middle School League registration closes, league fees due
for earlybird teams

February 1 (Wednesday)
Earlybird Coed Middle School League schedule produced

February 10 (Friday)
Youth Club Championship coach applications available

February 12 (Sunday)
Registration closes for all Seattle youth leagues

February 20 (Monday)
Schedule completed for all Seattle youth leagues

March 11 (Sunday)
Green Games – Single-gender middle school and high school jamboree in Tacoma
Youth Club Championship coach applications due

March 17 (Saturday)
Games start for all Seattle youth spring leagues

March 24 (Saturday)
Youth Club Championship coaches selected

March 31 (Saturday)
Registration closes for Tacoma High School League

April 7 (Saturday)
Youth Club Hat League coach applications available (late spring,
YCC-qualifying league)
Registration opens for Youth Club Championship team tryouts

April 14 (Saturday)
Games start for Tacoma High School League

April 28-29 (Saturday/Sunday)

Youth Club Championship tryouts begin (repeating on Sundays through May)

Registration opens for Youth Club Hat League (late spring, YCC-qualifying
league)
Coach applications due for Youth Club Hat League

May 19 (Saturday)
Playoffs for all Seattle youth leagues

May 21 (Monday)
Youth Club Hat League coaches selected (late spring, YCC-qualifying league)

May 28 (Monday)
Youth Club Championship tryouts complete

June 2 (Saturday)
Tacoma High School League playoffs

June 3 (Sunday)
Spring Jam – Single-gender High School club tourney in Tacoma

June 10 (Sunday)
Registration Closes for Youth Club Hat League (late spring, YCC-qualifying
league)

June 11 (Monday)
Youth Club Hat League begins (late spring, YCC-qualifying league)

July 25 (Wednesday)
Youth Club Hat League ends (late spring, YCC-qualifying league)



2. YOUTH LEAGUE COORDINATORS NEEDED

Various leagues are in need of coordinators. Please contact Wynne Scherf at
wynne.scherf at discnw.org if you are interested.



3. BOARD MEMBER APPLICATIONS BEING ACCEPTED

DiscNW, the Pacific Northwest’s premier Ultimate organization, seeks new
members for its Board of Directors. DiscNW acts as a regional resource,
promoting growth in the sport of Ultimate and instilling the spirit of
sportsmanship at all levels of play. The organization annually serves more
than 6,000 youth and adult players in dozens of leagues, tournaments,
camps, and clinics around the Puget Sound.

Joining the Board is an opportunity to be a part of a growing, non-profit
organization. Individuals with new ideas and an interest in helping shape
the future of Ultimate in the region are encouraged to apply.
